Do You Think Phyno Is The Best Rapper In Nigeria?

1395225 705620439450973 1300006986 n Do You Think Phyno Is The Best Rapper In Nigeria?
Listening to Man of the Year [Obago] reminds of TuPac. I think he’s the most talented rapper in Nigeria.

The way he combines swagg and street credibility is a beauty to behold. If you ask me, I’ll place him above the likes of MI, Olamide and Ice Prince (who can’t even freestyle) and gladly declare him the best rapper in Nigeria.

Whats your Say about this?

OAU Wins 8million Dollars World Bank Grant(as best Nigeria University)

In furtherance of its ratings as the best University in Nigeria, the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, has won a Grant of eight (8) million dollars by the World Bank.

In a release by the Public Relations Officer of the University, Mr. Abiodun Olarewaju, it stated that the Grant, which is for three (3) years for the establishment of an African Centre for Excellence with specific focus on OAU Knowledge Park (OAK-Park).

An elated Vice-Chancellor, Professor Bamitale Omole, whose administration has recorded several firsts within two and a half years into his five-year tenure, affirmed that the OAK-Park will create a nationally recognised and internationally acknowledgedmodel for uptake and commercialization of research and technology which will advance the growth of the nation’s industry.

Enumerating the importance of the centre to the overall development of mankind, Prof. Omole noted that the  centre will ensure the systematic incubation of research of research ideas and products from OAU and other partnering institutions in the West Africa sub-regions.

The objection, Prof. Omole said, is to annex the creative and innovative energy of the teeming youths into entrepreneurial endeavour by using appropriate skill-enhancing training and mentoring. He specifically said that the OAK-Park facility will, among other things, aspire to stimulate creativity and excellence in research and innovation, expand learning opportunities for OAU staff and students and, indeed, other researchers from the region.”

Underscoring the importance of the centre, Prof. Omole observed that its facilities would also aim at establishing a framework for enhanced research result appropriation and utilization for the community, regional  and national development which by extension, will further enhance OAU’s and other collaborating institutions’ relavance to their respective mandate.

He added that “the centre is also geared towards the developments of the next generation of scientists, researchers, teachers, entrepreneurs and product developers through appropriate practice-anchored capacity building measures.

These include industrial immersion schemes, leverage on industry resource support for critical skills development of academics, students and researchers, as well as targetted status enhancement enhancement training for industry staff in the university system”.

On how OAU was selected as one of the beneficiaries, the World Bank was said to have received 51 proposals from universities all over Africa, out of which 18 were selected  for funding after a rigorous and competitive process, and OAU proposal was among the best proposals that were eventually selected.

Prof. Omole further explained that OAK-Park as an African Centre of Excellence (ACE) will signal the dwan of a new development paradigm that boldly ventures to harness science, engineering, technology, innovation and indeed, the entire body of knowledge to investigate and sustain industrial development as a gateway for African prosperity.

Congrats!!! OAU

10 Amazing Facts About Lionel Messi

Lionel Messi is widely accepted  to be the best player in the world even after losing the Dogs baloon d’or award to fellow La liga rival ‘CRISTIANO RONALDO Lionel messi10 fcb wallpaper Wow: 10 Amazing Facts About Lionel Messi A Must See                                     Some even believe the Argentine player is the best to have ever played the beautiful game, At 23 years of age he has accomplished much more than anyone could have hoped for and his life is pretty much an open book for soccer betting fans around the globe.

However, there are some things that you probably didn’t know about the Barcelona star player.

1.) Messi’s style of play, impressive technical skills and small physique earned him comparisons with the legendary Diego Armando Maradona, and it is interesting that
the Barcelona forward managed to mimic Maradona’s two most famous goals he had scored in the World Cup game against England. Messi first scored a brilliant goal
after a solo effort against Getafe, before scoring with his hand against Espanyol in the very same season.

2.) Messi was asked to play for Spain national team, but he refused and decided to wait for a call-up from Argentina. Had it been he accepted a call from La Furia Roja, the Argentine would now have probably owned World Cup winner’s medals.

3.) His debut for Argentina lasted for around 40 seconds. That was the time he spent on the pitch before being sent off. The fact that he hadn’t deserved the red card was probably poor consolation at the particular time.

4.) You will also be surprised to hear that not only girls drop their panties in front of LEO Messi, but some guys as well. A man was so desperate to snap a picture with Messi that he chased the Argentine around the airport and when he finally thought he had caught him, a clothing failure prevented him from accomplishing his mission.

5.) In March 2010 , Messi became UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador and he now works with the organization, helping children around the global world.

6.) While the whole world loves watching Messi from the comfort of their homes, the Barcelona star once said that he never watched highlights of himself.

7.) In the Champions League game against Panathinaikos, a Greek fan invaded the pitch only to show Messi the middle finger, probably tired of constantly watching the Argentine making fun of PAO’s defence.

8.) He won the 2009 Ballon d’Or award in front of Cristiano Ronaldo, by collecting 473 out of possible 480 votes. How do you think the Portuguese handled the results?

9.) Barcelona signed the Argentine when he was just 13 with the scouts needing just half an hour to realize the player’s massive potential. That will soon prove to be one of the best decisions in the history of football.

10.) Following Barcelona’s 6:2 victory over Real at Santiago Bernabeu, Messi achieved the unthinkable and received standing ovation from the home fans, having scored two goals to help his side record a memorable win. Cristiano Ronaldo would have nothing against getting the same treatment at Camp Nou, but Real will first have to beat Barca for that to happen.

[Breaking News] Manchester United Set to Sack David Moyes, Interim Coach Might Take Over

Old Trafford boss set to the axe after Stamford Bridge mauling.
david moyes 640 2 [Breaking News] Manchester United Set to Sack David Moyes, Interim Coach Might Take Over

Man United are ready to axe boss David Moyes following his side’s defeat at Stamford Bridge.

Naijaloaded understands that the Old Trafford outfit are ready to act after a fourth defeat in five matches heaped yet more pressure on the Scot with the Premier League title holders ready to appoint an interim managerial team to act as a short term option ahead of a more permanent solution in the summer.

Moyes has failed to impress in charge of Man United and whilst it was expected that the club would struggle to retain the level of success achieved under Sir Alex Ferguson there is a growing sense among those in positions of power at the club that the time has come to bid farewell to their current manager.
Chelseas Samuel Etoo 011 [Breaking News] Manchester United Set to Sack David Moyes, Interim Coach Might Take Over                                                Man United have fallen way off the pace in the Premier League, defeat at Chelsea leaving them a massive 14 points off table topping Arsenal and six points off a top four finish, which is now seen as the very least the club expects from this troubled campaign, an aim that David Moyes is struggling to meet.

The club’s owners are ready to bite the bullet and sack Moyes, which would be a costly exercise, and would turn to an interim coaching team of Phil Neville and Ryan Giggs to steady the ship as the club look for a prominent managerial appointment either in the current season or in the summer, dependent on who is available to fill the post.

Man United’s owners are concerned that the continued fall from grace under Moyes could cause long term damage to the club’s reputation and the Glazers are all to aware that a failure to secure a top four finish could lead to a long term struggle to attract top quality players to the club as well as renewed investment from prospective sponsors.

The growing sense that Moyes has lost the respect of senior players in the Man United dressing room may seemingly prove the final straw as prepare to relieve the 50 year old of his duties.

“Nigerian Gays Might Start Committing Suicide” – Homosexual Reverend, Jide Macaulay

As Nigerians come to terms with the Same Sex Marriage Prohibition Bill signed by President Goodluck Jonathan a few weeks ago, renowned gay and founder of House of Rainbow Church, a church that harbors homosexuals and lesbians, Reverend Jide Macaulay, has come out to say that with the new law, gays in the country might start committing suicide since they would be denied their rights and freedom.

Rev. Macaulay also said that he has been receiving many calls, emails and online messages expressing fear, anger, anxiety and suicide attempts by his ‘people’.  This is how he expressed his worries:

“On January 7th, President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan signed the Same Sex Marriage Prohibition Bill 2013 into law.

“The law bans same sex marriage, and through its wording, also seeks to criminalize people, organizations and agencies that support homosexuality and those who do not immediately report any known homosexuals, or homosexual activities.

“Since January12th, when the announcement was made, the LGBT-community has been thrown into panic. There is chaos throughout Nigeria as we are grappling with keeping up with mass arbitrary arrest, humiliation, blackmail, extortion and police corruption in several ‘charge and bail’ cases.

“The hostility in Nigeria against gay people has reached epic proportions. In the East of Nigeria, many are fleeing their homes. One gay man, labelled “a leader of the homosexual” is on the run. His parents and brother were threatened with arrest if they don’t provide information about his whereabouts.”

Premier League - Eto'o hat-trick eases Chelsea past hapless United

Premier League, Stamford Bridge - Chelsea 3 (Eto’o 17’ 45’ 49’) Manchester United 1 (Hernandez 78’)

Chelsea celebrate against Manchester United (Getty)    Chelsea remained in the hunt for the Premier League after a 3-1 win over Manchester United at Stamford Bridge.

United started brightly but the best chance they created was an Ashley Young shot from a tight angle. They sent in plenty of crosses, but of such low quality it meant little.

Samuel Eto’o scored against the run of play after beating a static Phil Jones on the edge of his box, his shot looping off Michael Carrick’s ankle and over David de Gea. Shortly after, United should have had a penalty when Cesar Azpilicueta went through the back of Danny Welbeck.

Just before half-time, Eto’o got his second when he turned in Gary Cahill’s low cross when United failed to clear a corner.

Eto’o completed his hat-trick a few minutes after half-time, poking in his third after De Gea saved a Cahill header.

Despite a late Javier Hernandez goal, the game came to its inevitable conclusion, an easy Chelsea win. To make things worse for United, Nemanja Vidic saw red for a scything challenge on Eden Hazard and Rafael was lucky not so suffer a similar fate moments later.

KEY EVENTS

2’ - YOUNG CHANCE - In space on the left hand side of the box, Young’s shot is straight at Cech.

17’ - ETO’O GOAL - Eto’o easily evades Jones and has a shot deflected into the goal by Michael Carrick.

38’ - WELBECK MISS - Januzaj finds Welbeck in space in the box, and as he gets a shot away, he’s fouled by Cesar Azpilicueta, but the ref gives nothing.

45’ - ETO’O’S SECOND - United fail to clear a corner, allowing an unmarked Cahill to find an unmarked Eto’o at the near post.

49’ - ETO’O HAT-TRICK - More poor United defending as Valencia allows Eto’o to finish from two yards.

78’ - UNITED CONSOLATION GOAL - Hernandez slides in at the back post to pull a goal back, after Phil Jones’ shot was drifting wide.

90+1’ - VIDIC RED - A stupid, late and scything challenge from Vidic on Hazard gives him a marginally early bath     KEY STATS

Manchester United have lost seven Premier League games this season - the same as David Moyes' Everton side last year.

Javier Hernandez has scored in seven of his last 10 appearances in all competitions against Chelsea.

There have been five penalties awarded in the last four meetings between these two sides at Stamford Bridge.

There have been 25 goals scored in the last four matches between Chelsea and Manchester United at Stamford Bridge.

David Moyes has never won away from home to one of the Premier League’s traditional big four – Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool or Arsenal (P48 W0 D18 L30). Though he has now in a sense beaten United away from home against the big four.

Chelsea have won 17 and lost none of their last 20 Premier League games at Stamford Bridge (D3).

This was United’s first away defeat in the Premier League for eight matches.

MATCHCAST: FULL COMMENTARY AND PLAYER RATINGS

TALKING POINT

Will Moyes get the chance to overhaul the side in the summer? While he has been clearly let down by Edward Woodward, things may have deteriorated so badly over the course of the season that the Glazers might not trust him with another transfer window.

MAN OF THE MATCH

Samuel Eto’o (Chelsea): After a slow start to his Chelsea career, Eto’o has adapted well to his new side and his experience allows him to exploit half-chances and still trouble defences.

Chelsea Vs Manchester United To Clash At 5pm Today – Who Do You Think Will Win?

Chelsea vs Manchester United1 500x166 Football: Chelsea Vs Manchester United To Clash At 5pm Today Who Do You Think Will Win?                              Chelsea host Manchester UTD in Stamford Bridge Today….

Manchester United’s visit to Stamford Bridge to play Chelsea rekindles memories of numerous feisty contests over the years when both teams were fighting for the title.
United seemingly appear out of the title race this season after falling 11 points behind Arsenal, but this fixture has lost none of its excitement (at least in the pre-match build up).

A win for Chelsea will represent Mourinho’s 100th in the Premier League. Despite United’s recent form, three points from this encounter is easier said than done.
United have been poor at home, but their away form has been decent with just one defeat in the last five.

Team News:
Branislav Ivanovic and Marco van Ginkel have been ruled out, but Frank Lampard returns to the team. Chelsea have no major injury worries apart from it.

United are going through an injury crisis at the moment with several stars ruled out of this encounter.

Robin Van Persie and Wayne Rooney are the pick of the bunch. Nani, Young, Fellaini, and Fabio da Silva also miss the match as well.

Predicted Line-ups:
Chelsea (4-2-3-1): Cech; Azpilicueta, Cahill, Terry, Cole; Lampard, Ramires; Willian, Oscar, Hazard; Torres

Manchester United (4-4-1-1): De Gea; Smalling, Vidic, Evans, Evra; Cleverley, Carrick; Valencia, Welbeck, Januzaj, Hernandez

Prediction:
Chelsea have been ruthlessly efficient in defence since the 3-2 defeat against Stoke City and it is expected to continue Today as well. After having drawn the reverse fixture at Old Trafford 0-0, Mourinho will see this as the perfect opportunity (considering United’s injury crisis) to get one over David Moyes.

Whats your Prediction for this Match? Drop your Comment.

Beware!!! Fake JAMB Exam e cards Scheme Hits Lagos

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has alerted students on a fake electronic access cards scheme currently in circulation in Lagos.

The board said it had come to its attention that some individuals were selling fake cards for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) to unsuspecting students.

“I want to seize this opportunity to sensitize the public of this ugly development. Some candidates have reported the purchase of fake electronic cards to the JAMB National Headquarters Annex at No. 11, Ojora Road, Ikoyi, Lagos,” Kamaldeen Oladeji, Coordinator of the Board, said in Lagos.

He said candidates reported they bought the fake e-facility cards from vendors at the Lagos State University (LASU) and around Ikotun and Sango-Ota.

Oladeji said the victims complained that the counterfeit e-facility cards were being sold at a price higher than the quoted purchase price of N1 000.

While cautioning students to buy the electronic access card from only duly authorized, he warned that the board would arrest and prosecute those behind the sales of the fake cards.

Oladeji added that the e-facility card was only available for sale to the public at the board’s offices nationwide.

Tukur’s successor: Jonathan, North Eastern govs consider consensus candidate

Goodluck Jonathan and Bamanga Tukur
President Goodluck Jonathan and Peoples Democratic Party’s governors from the North East may have adopted the option of a consensus candidate for the post of the chairmanship of the party.

The party’s former chairman, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur, officially resigned his position at the 63rd National Executive Committee meeting of the party in Abuja on Thursday.

President Jonathan, Saturday PUNCH learnt, considered having a consensus candidate when his preferred candidate,  a former governor of Bauchi State, Alhaji Adamu Muázu, was rejected  by governors from the North East, the zone expected  to produce the next chairman of the party.

The President held a closed door meeting with the three governors and a deputy governor from the North East zone on Friday.  The meeting which lasted over an hour took place inside the President’s Office.

Those who attended the parley with the President were Governor Ibrahim Dankwambo of Gombe State, Governor Isa Yuguda of Bauchi State, the Acting Governor of Taraba State, Garba Umar, and the Adamawa State Deputy Governor, Bala Ngilari. Ngilari did not join the state governor, Murtala Nyako, to defect to the All Progressives Congress.

The meeting started shortly after the President had also met with the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Senator Bala Muhammed, who is also from the zone, (Bauchi).

A source close to the meeting told one of our correspondents that issue bordering on a consensus candidate for the coveted party job dominated discussion during the meeting.

The four governors arrived in two cars, suggesting that they might have decided to come and brief the President on the outcome of an earlier meeting they had on the matter. The President had on Thursday charged the governors with the responsibility of coming up with a name for the coveted position.

But Yuguda who spoke with State House correspondents on behalf of his colleagues claimed they were only in the Presidential Villa to pay Friday homage to Jonathan. He urged stakeholders to exercise patience till Monday when the new party chairman would emerge.

“We just came to say hello to the President and wish him a Good Friday. Monday is the day the NEC will decide who the chairman is going to be. So, let’s wait till Monday,” he said.

The governor also denied insinuation that PDP state governors do not want the party chairman to emerge from their states for fear of supremacy tussle.

“Are we God? It is God that gives power. Supposing he gives somebody from my state, a PDP state, what will I do? I will follow him. Let us not go into that kind of imagination,” Yuguda said.

When asked to give a hint on the kind of PDP chairman the governors would want to emerge on Monday considering the crisis that characterised Tukur’s tenure, the governor said there would always be crisis in the party but that the important thing is how leaders manage such situation.

He said, “Crisis will always be there. If there is no crisis, there won’t be managers anyway. So, somebody must be in charge to manage the situation. That’s why God structures leadership. And even at the family level, you have a leader to manage problems and crisis.

“So, we cannot be insulated from crisis. It is a continuous thing. The capacity to manage it is what makes you a good leader.”

When asked if the governors were not concerned about the high turnover rate of PDP national chairmen, Yuguda said, “I have been discussing that with my colleague from Gombe and he gave me a very wonderful answer that we are on democracy learning curve. So, that’s the dynamics of democracy. So, we are learning. So, we will cross the line very soon, Insha Allah.”

He said since PDP state governors who defected to the APC claimed that Tukur was their problem, now that the party chairman had resigned; the defectors were free to return to the party. “Wait for those who said he was their problem. He is no longer there. So, they are welcome,” he said.

Also on Friday, PDP governors held a meeting in Abuja in their plot   to install their own candidate for the party chairmanship position.

Investigations by our correspondent in Abuja on Friday indicated that the governors would meet again in Abuja on Sunday to strategise ahead of another NEC meeting slated for Monday, where the new chairman would be made known.

A governor, who spoke with our correspondent on condition of anonymity, said that though they would consult with President Goodluck Jonathan on the matter,  there was no way they would not have a say in who would lead the party.

He said that it would be wrong for anyone to think that they would not take interest in who leads the party, given the experience they had under the leadership of Tukur.

He said, “We are meeting, I think on Sunday, to look at the background and credibility of who is going to lead us. We won’t just sit down and allow an individual to pick anyone and impose him on us.”

Asked who the candidate would likely be, he said it was too early to agree now, adding that “one minute is enough to rubbish agreement reached over a year ago.”

He, however, added that some aspirants had either been visiting or asking people to speak with them (governors) on their (aspirants’) behalf.

Already, a former Special Adviser to late President Umaru Yar’Adua on National Assembly Matters, Sen. Abba Aji, has joined the race.

The Borno State-born former lawmaker, who was also in the race for the job before the imposition of Tukur by President Jonathan, was said to have reopened his campaign.

Some members of the  party were said to have reasoned that the next chairman of the party must not be too old, which counted against Tukur, or too young.

Meanwhile, the party has described  the voluntary resignation of Tukur and  the peaceful resolution of its leadership challenges as a climax of political maturity and another eloquent expression of  the internal democratic mechanism that form the building blocks of the party.

A statement by the National Publicity Secretary of the party, Chief Olisa Metuh, in Abuja on Friday said the development had proved the in-built conflict resolution capacity of a party whose leaders were ever mindful of its historic responsibility as the custodian of the fate of over 160 million Nigerians.

The statement said, “On Thursday, the selfless efforts of our leaders to re-engineer and strengthen our great party peaked with the selfless example of our former national chairman, Tukur, who voluntarily resigned.

“It was a  denouncement which brought to the fore,  the unimpeachable  democratic features of the PDP as a political party whose leaders and members are at all times willing to sacrifice personal  interests in the overall good of the party and the nation.

“This is a true character of a political party attuned to the essentials of progress and national unity.”

Metuh said that the occasion re-affirmed that despite the party’s large size and diversity, its capacity to internally resolve all its challenges and by extension hold Nigeria together as well as boost her fortunes and improve the lots of the people was without rival.

He added that the peaceful manner through which the PDP had continued to resolve its problems was an assurance that the challenges facing Nigeria today would equally be resolved with the cooperation of the people.

“We therefore wish to send a fresh clear signal to the opposition and detractors who must be hugely disappointed with the outcome of our National Executive Committee meeting that the PDP has come to stay and shall continue to win elections, having been deeply rooted in the province of the people,” he added.

'Madrid will sleep well tonight' - Ancelotti celebrates going level with Barca       Carlo Ancelotti says Real Madrid "will sleep well tonight" after thrashing Betis 5-0 on Saturday to go joint-top of La Liga.

Barcelona and Atletico Madrid have a game in hand over the Blancos but, for 24 hours at least, the capital-based club sits level on 50 points with its competitors.

"This was a good opportunity to go joint-first for the night," Ancelotti told reporters. "At least we will sleep well tonight.

"Gareth Bale played well. The whole team played well for the whole game. There was a lot of concentration. We defended well. We are happy because these can look like easy matches before then become a problem."

Ancelotti's 24 wins in La Liga follow his 49 triumphs in Ligue 1, 67 victories for Chelsea in England and 360 successes in Serie A.

Another milestone in the match was Karim Benzema's 100th goal for Real Madrid, as he joined Cristiano Ronaldo, Bale, Angel Di Maria and Alvaro Morata on the score sheet.

Real Madrid travels to face Espanyol in the first-leg of their Copa del Rey quarterfinal on Wednesday.

Will Jennifer Lopez Marry Boyfriend Casper Smart? She Says..

Courtesy of Getty Images
Jennifer Lopez has been dating back-up-dancer-turned-boyfriend Casper Smart for nearly three years-and in Hollywood, that's practically a lifetime! For a celebrity couple, especially one that's as cozy as these two look on the red carpet, that kind of relationship staying power could indicate wedding bells in the near future. But J.Lo, who has been married three times previously and engaged once (as much as we love Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck, "Bennifer" still has a place in our hearts), isn't so sure she's ready to walk down the aisle.

While on a Winter TCA press tour for American Idol this past week, Lopez shed some light on her views of marriage. When asked whether she sees an "I do" in her near future, J.Lo replied "I don't know, maybe, we'll see." However, E! News reports that the singer and returning Idol judge also told reporters, "I always believe in that institution, my parents were married for a very long time, they were married for 35 years." She also revealed that she likes having a significant other. "I'm one of those people who does not like to be alone," she confessed. "I have no shame saying that at this point in my life, I think we have to own who we are."
So while she may not be planning a wedding anytime soon, there are a few important factors working to the couple's advantage. First, Casper is always by his beau's side on the red carpet (as can be seen, above). Second, look at that huge ring on her left finger! A different stack of diamond rings sparked engagement rumors this past summer, and while they were swiftly quashed, we still hope that sizable diamond is one of the promise-making kind. Finally, Lopez dished that Casper is great with her kids (twins Max and Emme, from her previous marriage to Marc Anthony). "I don't like the word father figure, but he's fantastic with the kids and he helps me very much with my work," the singer said.
Strong values, obvious affection, and a ton of support-sounds like a recipe for a successful marriage to us! We'll just have to wait and see.

Bisade Lagbaja Ologunde has been hiding his face behind a mask since the early 90′s.
Lagbaja is a Yoruba word that means ‘Nobody In Particular’.
Lagbaja has said that his mask is an icon of man’s facelessness. The mask and the name symbolize the faceless, the voiceless in the society, particularly in Africa. Finally, our curiosity to know who Lagbaja is ended yesterday as a pictured alleged to be the man behind the mask surfaced on the internet.

Nigerian Eye gathered that On Saturday, September 29 Lagbaja’s Omole Estate, Lagos

home was visited by men of the underworld and valuables worth millions of naira was

carted away in the process, perhaps, pictures showing his face too? So far, the afrobeat

singer who is in far away United States has not confirmed if the face is actually his or if he is

the one that made the picture public or mandated someone to do so on his behalf. It is

however hard to ignore the striking similarities between this face and the masked one especially the lips, eyes and shape of chin.
